Elaine M. Ferguson passed away at the age of 96 on Saturday August 27th at Southampton Estates in Southampton, PA where she resided since 2002. She was the wife of the late Howard C. Ferguson who passed away in 1997. The couple was married in1949 and settled in Jamison to raise their children Linda and Bill.

Elaine was born on July 22, 1926 in Brookline, PA and was the daughter of Helen (Lockwood) and William P. Merrill. She graduated from Haverford High School in 1944 and went on to receive nurse's training at the Philadelphia Osteopathic Hospital where she graduated in 1947. Elaine worked as a Registered Nurse at Abington Hospital from 1957-1990. As a longtime member of Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church, she also served as a Deacon and Elder. Elaine is survived by her children Linda Smith and Bill Ferguson and his wife Susan as well as her grandchildren Brian and Matthew Smith and their families.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday September 1, 2022 at Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church in Hartsville-Warminster, PA. Visiting hours will begin at 10:00am with the funeral service to follow at 11:00am. After the service, guests may proceed to the Neshaminy cemetery for the internment and all are then invited back to the church auditorium for a lunch reception.
