Obituary for Edith Jean Diem vanden Bosch
Edith Jean Diem vanden Bosch of Jamison, PA, passed away peacefully on
January 3, 2022.
Edie was born on January 8, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA to Edward and Laura
Diem, making her 1-week shy of 87 years of age when she passed. She was a
graduate of Philadelphia High School for Girls (Girls' High). She married
Louis John vanden Bosch (deceased) at the age of 18, and was the mother of
four loving children, all by the age of 24. She is survived by her son
Louis Robert vanden Bosch, daughter Dorothy McClelland, son Douglas vanden
Bosch, and daughter Alison Weeast. She adored her 9 grandchildren, and 7
great grandchildren.
After growing up in northeast Philadelphia, she lived her adult life in
Hatboro, PA and in 1998 she moved to Jamison, PA. Edie was a member of
Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church for 58 years which she attended
regularly and where she volunteered and contributed to many of the church
activities. She was a member of Upper Moreland Women's Club and then later
the Warrington Women's Club. She was an active alumnus of Girls' High in
Philadelphia. She had a fulfilling career at Wachovia Bank, later as a
clerk at Doylestown Hospital and then as a volunteer at Doylestown Hospital.
Her final days were spent at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington.
Edie’s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022 10:00am at the Neshaminy Warwick
Presbyterian Church located at 1401 Meetinghouse Road, Warminster, PA 18974. The family will receive friends from 9:00am until the time of Service. Internment will follow in Neshaminy Cemetery.
