Obituary for Eddie Levi Lofton

Eddie Levi Lofton
Eddie Levi Lofton of Warrington, PA passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Pennsylvania Hospital. He was 69 years old. Eddie was the husband of Cheryl Lofton, and father of Nicholas and Alysha Lofton. Eddie was born in Mount Olive, NC and was the son of the late Rufus Lofton and Bertha Faison Lofton. “Brother Eddie”, as he was fondly called, had worked for the US government as a Senior Supply Systems Analyst in a Planning and Systems Department within the FMS Planning and Program Support Directions. He held this government job for over 26 years. He was still devoted to this position upon his death. His interests included watching sports and “old time favorites” on television. He enjoyed yard work so you would often see him cutting the grass, planting flowers and trimming bushes. More than anything, Eddie was in his glory spending time with his family. He supported his children in all their avenues. He was the devoted “Soccer Dad”, “Tool and Handy Fix it Dad and the “I’ll Do It For You Dad.” He made a conscious effort to be present at every event of both his son Nicholas’s and daughter Alysha’s activities. In addition to his wife, Cheryl, and children Nicholas and Alysha, Eddie is survived by his brother Dr. Robert Lofton, twin sister, Etta Foster and sister Bessie Jackson. He was the brother to the late Dr.Jessie Lofton, Wendell Lofton, Sally Simpson, and Lorenzo Lofton. He was brother-in law to Dr. Thomas Simpson, Norris Foster, Ola Lofton, the late Sarah Lofton, Willie A. Black, Henry Black, ESQ Thomas Willis Jr., Dr. Deborah Willis, Ronald Willis, Janet Willis, and the late Curtis P. Willis. Eddie is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be celebrated at the Second Baptist Church of Doylestown on Wednesday July 19th at 11:00am. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until the time of service.
Interment will be on Monday July 24, 2017, 11:30am in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Albright College Women’s Basketball Athletic Fund C/o Janice Luck 1621 N 13th St, Reading, PA 19604
