Obituary for Dorothy Rausch
Dorothy Rausch, of Warminster, formerly of Doylestown, passed away
peacefully on February 15, 2023, at the age of 92. Dorothy was born December 30,
1930 in Philadelphia, PA., to Stefan and Veronica Greenjack, the second
youngest of 12 children. Dorothy was a 1949 graduate of Kensington High School
where she participated in cheerleading. She was selected by her classmates as demonstrating
the ‘Most School Spirit’. She took pride in her NE Philly surroundings.
On September 2, 1950, Dorothy married Charles E. Rausch. They were married
for 60 years until Charles passing in 2011. Together, Dorothy and Charles had 5
children: Diane, Charles (Toni), Margaret and Michael (Tracy). She was preceded in death by her son Eugene (Phyllis)
Dorothy loved family and took immense joy in being
Mom-Mom to 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Whether Dot, Dottie, Mom-
Mom or “Aunt Dot”, she enjoyed spending time with others ensuring everyone had plenty
to eat.
Dottie loved Stone Harbor, NJ, spending countless hours relaxing on the beach,
reading books, listening to the sounds of the waves and enjoying the laughter of the little
ones. Rarely would a day at the shore go by without Mom-Mom taking the little ones on
a trip to the Fudge Lady for a free sample. The welcome sign was always out for all to
come and visit.
Dottie’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 23,
2023 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 235 E. State St., Doylestown, PA
18901. Her family will receive friends at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of the Mass.
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, adjacent to the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Dottie’s memory may be made to your
preferred charity. Mom was a proponent of sharing good fortune with those in need.
