Obituary for David A Hillard, Jr.

David A Hillard, Jr.
David Anthony Hillard, Jr., of Chalfont died in a tragic accident on his property in Bulls Gap, TN on Friday March 28, 2014. He was 29. Born April 29, 1984, he was the beloved son of Bonnie and Steve Guenzel of Chalfont; and David Sr. and Sherri Hillard of Point Pleasant, best big brother ever to Heather Anne Hillard of North Wales, and Stepbrother to Matthew Guenzel of England, Ryan Born and Danielle Born of Montgomeryville, PA.
Growing up in Bradford, PA before moving to Chalfont, David was actively involved in baseball, scouting and music. He was a 2002 graduate of Central Bucks West and The Middle Bucks Institute of Technology where he studied auto mechanics. David had a heart of gold. There was nothing he wouldn't do for his friends, and nothing he could not fix using items from his extensive collection of treasures.
An avid lover of all animals, David had quite a list of pets over the years, each one knowing how much they were cherished.
An outdoors-man since childhood, his plan was to live on his property in Tennessee and build a home using his own trees. He loved the mountains there, and was never happier than when he was in the woods.

In addition to his parents and siblings, David is survived by his grandparents Rev. G. Edward and Susan Hillard of Bradford and Joan F. Becker of Hatboro, his faithful dog Roxy, and kitty Mesa, his close friend Jim, girlfriend Jenn, several aunts and uncles, and many many cousins.
Baptized by his grandfather in the Delaware River several years ago, David's strong faith and belief in God was strengthened even more when he received a miracle in January of 2013 and survived not having a heartbeat for over 109 minutes. His family is grateful for the gift of another year with David, and they take comfort knowing that he now resides with his Lord Jesus.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to an Animal Shelter of the donor's choice.
