Darryl Thomas Fischer, of Upper Moreland Twp., passed away on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Luther Woods Convalescent Center. He was 80 years old.

He was the loving husband of Lorraine H. Fischer. The couple would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in March.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas and Louise Fischer.

Darryl proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Bay of Pigs invasion.

Darryl graduated from Temple University with his degree in electrical engineering.

Darryl was employed as a general manager in the manufacturing industry.

In his free time, Darryl enjoyed collecting military memorabilia and hunting.

In addition to his wife, Darryl is survived by his three children, Noel Fischer, Robert Fischer, Richard Fischer; three grandchildren, Corey, Brandon, and Ryan Cruz; and one great grandson, Caleb.

Darryl funeral services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington, PA 18976. Family will receive friends from 10:00- 11:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Darryl’s name may be made to the Parkinson’s Council, 555 City Ave, Suite 480, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
