Daniel Franklin Maloney, Jr., of Nockamixon Twp., passed away peacefully in the
presence of his family. He was 81.
Dan was the dear husband of Kathleen Maloney.
Born in Abington, he was a son of the late Olive and Daniel Franklin Maloney, Sr.
Dan proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He enjoyed his career in the building business which began when he was 12
years old working for his uncle, Gordon Chambers. Eventually, he started his own
company, Skyline Corporation and then Maloney Brothers, where many of his family and
friends worked throughout the years.
He had a passion for racing pigeons, which he did for over 60 years. He was
one of the founding members of the Trevose Trotters Hunting Club and enjoyed
spending time with family and friends at the cabin.
He will be truly missed by all his family and friends. He loved his family and was
the beloved husband of Kathleen Maloney; loving father of Daniel Maloney (Marianne),
Colleen Kleege (Nevin), Steven Maloney (Tricia), and Katie Maloney. The loving
grandpop of Danny, Nicky, Megan, Ally, Ryan, Kyle, Gavin, Kyla, and Cameron. He is
survived by his sister, Sharon Edelen, and brothers, Dennis Maloney, Terry Maloney,
and Doug Maloney along with many nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Shelly
Funeral Home, Easton & Kellers Church Rds., Plumsteadville, PA 18947. Dan’s family
will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private
at the convenience of the family.
