Obituary for Christian J. "Chris" Baker

Christian J. Baker of Pipersville, PA passed away at his home on Sunday April 25, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. He was 56 years old. Chris was the loving husband of Diane P. (Krause) Baker and father to Alexander Krause. Together they shared 25 happy years of marriage.

Born in England, Chris was the son of Robin and Jacqueline Baker, brother to Jonathan Baker. Chris had moved to the United States in 1993 after traveling the country by motorcycle, he met Diane, married and together they established their business, Across the Pond Aquascapes. He was dedicated to his business and the customers he served.

Chris was a world traveler for pleasure and service. He had been a part of many water purification mission trips to Colombia and Africa with the Aquascape Foundation. Through his business he met many people who became his family. Many of his friends learned Chris had a massive lust for life and he provided them with an example of how to live life to the fullest while battling cancer for 9 years. He enjoyed riding his Triumph Motorcycles at home and abroad whenever the opportunity presented itself with his wife and friends. A true adventurer.

Back across the pond in England, Chris had restored a 300 year old cottage. This was to be his and Diane’s place to escape and eventually retire.

Chris was a friend to all and will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Chris’s life to be held on June 5th at their residence beginning at 4:00pm. All are welcome to celebrate and share their memories. Friends may contact the family for further information.

In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be sent to the Bucks Co. SPCA
