SELLERS, Charlotte (BENNER) Age 81, of Jamison, PA, passed away Sunday, December 5th 2021. Charlotte was a 1958 graduate of Cheltenham High School and studied nursing at Philadelphia General Hospital and Gwynedd Mercy College, earning her BSN/RN in 1961. Renowned and respected in the medical field, Charlotte served over many years in various roles including as Head Nurse, OR / ER Nurse as well as Labor and Delivery Nurse at numerous hospitals including Sloan Kettering, Abington Memorial, Warminster General and Neshaminy Manor. Always active and vibrant, Charlotte was a gifted crafter and avid collector; she enjoyed the magic of the holidays, skiing, summers with family on Long Beach Island and the annual Philadelphia Flower Show.
Charlotte beamed with pride whenever discussing her beloved children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. After the passing of her daughter Sandy, Charlotte organized an annual 5K run in Sandy’s honor, with all proceeds benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. With love, passion and drive, Charlotte’s time and efforts raised thousands of dollars in her daughter’s name. Preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Charlotte Benner, and her brother Charles Benner Jr. and her daughter, Sandra Copley, she is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Robert Sellers, son Robert Sellers Jr, Daughter Susan Barrett and her husband Dan, two grandchildren, Monica and Matthew, and two great-grandchildren, Lina and Ryan, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 13th 5-7pm (visitation only) and Tues., Dec. 14th 1-3pm (visitation and service) at Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Rd. Warrington, PA, 18976. In lieu of flowers, friends are encouraged to make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children‘s Research Hospital.
