Obituary for Bertha T. Gentile
Bertha T. Gentile passed away on Wednesday June 8, 2022 at LifeQuest Nursing Center in Quakertown. Bertha was 100 years old.
Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Michael and Wanda (Bialy) Sliwka. Bertha resided in Philadelphia prior to moving to Warrington. She was the wife of the late Romeo M. Gentile.
Bertha enjoyed being a member of local Senior Citizens groups. Playing cards, taking bus trips and going to the theater or to a play were a few of her favorite past times. Bertha was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with all her family; especially her grandchildren.
Bertha is survived by her daughters Janice Meiser (Ed Breslin) and Diane DeLuca (Victor). She was the grandmother of Michael Nichols (Jenna), Jason (Melissa) Meiser and Kristen Meiser (George), and Sean and Ryan Breslin, and great-grandmother of Cullen, Fiona, Julia and Greta.
Bertha was preceded in death by her sister Wanda Makarewicz, and her brothers Henry and Albert Sliwka.
Bertha’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday June 16, 2022 at 11:00am at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church 100 Broad Street Hilltown, Pa., 18927.
