Barbara M. Neamand, of Doylestown, formerly of the Poconos, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Neshaminy Manor. She was 89.
Barbara was the loving wife of the late John Howard Neamand, who passed away in December of 1985.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Edith Swartley.
Barbara worked in the packing department for Furlong Lamp Factory and travelled on the weekends to the Poconos with her family. After retiring, she and her husband enjoyed their retirement in the Poconos.
In her free time, Barbara enjoyed daytrips with her friends and granddaughter, reading, jigsaw puzzles, playing games, crocheting, and visiting her sisters in Lancaster. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with her family and friends.
Barbara will be deeply missed by her children, John Howard Neamand Jr., Carol Farris, Lynn Simonds (Rich); six grandchildren, Jeff, Jennifer, Jason, Justin, Jessi Lynn, John; a great granddaughter, Madelyn; and her sisters, Mabel Bauer and Mary Swartley.
In addition to her husband and mother, Barbara was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Swartley.
Services for Barbara will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
