Obituary for Armand DeSantis

Print
Armand Mario DeSantis of North Wales, PA, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 83 years old.

Born in Philadelphia, Armand was the devoted son of the late Armando and Anna DeSantis, and the husband of the late Nancy DeSantis who passed away in 2017. The couple had shared 42 years of marriage.

Armand enjoyed a 40-plus year career as a Pharmacist, having graduated in 1958 from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science.

Despite experiencing much adversity in his life, including contracting polio at 17 and having limited mobility for nearly 70 years, Armand always exhibited a cheerful, upbeat attitude and joy for life. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and his positive legacy will live on forever.

Armand was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and also enjoyed opera, classical and popular music. He especially loved family gatherings and reminiscing about old times.

Armand is survived by his siblings, Frank DeSantis (Helen) and Mary Anne Stabilito (Raymond); Nancy’s children, Joseph Settefrati (Susan) and Maria Wyss; nieces and nephews, Lauren Stabilito Yates, Daniel Stabilito (Nicole), Annemarie Murphy (Sean), Frank DeSantis, Jr. (Rachel), Diane Hoffman (Howard), Carol Anne DeSantis (Ben), Lennie Smith (Joseph), and Gina Wilson (Kevin). He is also survived by his great-nieces and great-nephews Rachel, Anna Maria, Dante, Dylan Armand, Dawson, Mena and Connor, as well as many other great-nieces and great-nephews.

Armand’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, PA. Interment will be held privately.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Church on Thursday, July 25 from 12:00 PM until the time of Mass.
