Obituary for Albert Latronica

Albert Latronica, of Jamison, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 66.

Albert was the loving husband of Pamela Latronica. The couple celebrated their 40th anniversary in May of this year.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was a son of the late Albert and Doris Jean Latronica.

Al was a member of Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church.

Al was a Doctor of Chiropractic. He attended Clarion University in Pennsylvania where he attained his Bachelor of Science degree. He continued his studies at Life College in Marietta, GA where he attained his doctorate in Chiropractic medicine.

Al married the love of his life, Pamela Battersby, and shared their love for almost 40 years. They lived in Marietta, Georgia so Al could pursue his Doctorate in Chiropractic. He also played Rugby for Life Chiropractic College from 1981-1985, usually playing the position of Hooker. His rugby teammates became a second family to him that always held a special place in his heart. They moved back to Pennsylvania making Bucks County their home for the past 35 years raising their family here. Al started his own practice 33 years ago. Living and loving his passion of educating others in health, nutrition and exercise. He started running, competing in the Broad Street Run, Brians Run as well as the Marine Corps Marathons. As his children became involved in sports he was always there, running and cheering on the sidelines even when he wasn’t actually coaching. Al was heavily involved in the Pennsylvania Chiropractic Association. He served several years as district Director and the legislative and convention committees. He served on the Executive Committee from 2006-2008 then was the elected President of the PCA Board from 2009-2010. Al received Chiropractor of the year in 2010.

Al was involved in acting, singing in the church choir and also contributed in writing a book titled, “Go Ask Your Dad”. He was a professor at Bucks County Community College for the last 10 years. Al had a passion for travel whether it was with Pam, the whole family or his friends. Summertime, going to LBI with all of the children and grandchildren, making special new memories every year. His greatest passion was being with his family and friends regardless of the occasion. Some other things that brought joy to his life was fishing, gardening, feeding the birds and his morning walks. Al was always there for all who needed him and never hesitated to care for the ones he loved. He will be truly missed by all, especially by Pamela, his children, his grandchildren and his fur babies Rocco, Boomer and Puddy.

In addition to his wife, Pam, Al will be deeply missed by his children, Stephanie Jeffries (Rob), Danielle Latronica, Brittany Latronica (Pat Melvin), Anthony Latronica; 2 grandchildren, Penelope, RJ; his brother, Michael Latronica (Debbie); and his sister, Maria Latronica-Gerlach (Don).

A celebration of Al’s life will be held at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Rd., Warrington, PA 18976. Family will receive friends on Friday, December 10th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and again on Saturday, December 11th from 9:30 AM until the service at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Al’s memory may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
