Obituary for William J. Buonato
William J. Buonato , Sr., born in Ardmore, PA, August 23,1944, the sixth child of Sebastian J. MD
and Elizabeth M. (nee. Dunn) Buonato, died on February 28 in Richboro, PA. He graduated from:
St. Coleman’s Elementary School; Monsignor Bonner High School and Temple University. By profession,
Bill was a Financial Comptroller. He was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus and a loyal
Eagles fan! Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Jean (nee. Scafidi), sons: William J. Jr and wife,
Anita (nee. Fontana); Anthony, J and wife, Melissa (nee. St. Jean) and daughter Jean M. Buonato ;
grandsons: Stephen and Nicholas Snider; James and Justin Buonato; and granddaughter, Amelia A.
Buonato. He is also survived by two sisters, Sr. Marie Buonato RSCJ and Carol R. Chirik as well as
three generations of loving nephews and nieces. Bill was pre-deceased by his Father and Mother,
two brothers: Charles and Sebastian J., Jr and sister: Elizabeth Lannigan.
Family and friends are invited to attend Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church,
5194 Cold Springs Creamery Rd., Doylestown, PA 18902 on Friday, March 9, 2018.
A visitation will be held from 12:00PM – 1:00 PM at the Church, his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM
In lieu of flowers, the Family suggests a donation be made to a favorite charity in Bill’s name.
