Link Hanover, a resident of Doylestown since 1988, passed peacefully at home on February 12th, 2018. Seventy-three, Link was a war baby, born October 22nd, 1944. A graduate of Springfield High School, Montgomery County, he played football and threw the discus. He went on to attend the Pennsylvania State University until Vietnam intervened. Link learned much from that experience, and it paved his way for future success. After his tour of duty he completed his education at Temple University. Ultimately, he started a company from the ground up with business partner H. P. (Pete) Cadwallader. That company is now a noted regional manufacturing plant with seventy-six employees. His life would change forever after meeting his future wife Susan A. Wittman. Married for forty-five years, Link and Sue were as inseparable as was their love for one another and their children.

The family enjoyed summer visits to Stone Harbor and Avalon. Link played golf on some of the finest courses in America which included such notables as Augusta, Pebble Beach, Pine Valley and TPC Sawgrass. As a major New York Yankee fan he had the opportunity to participate in their fantasy camp near Tampa and play with some of the greats of baseball. In recent years annual trips were taken to St. Barth's with Sue, and Bermuda was like a second home multiple times a year, often with the family. For Link, it was always about family.

With a twist to Will Rogers' famous quote, Link “never met a man who didn't like him.” In addition there's an old observation by C. S. Lewis that "The measure of one's character can be found in the actions of doing the right thing even when you think no one will know." In a world of tenuous moral clarity there was never a question as to his fidelity towards honor and truth. A friend to all who knew him, he loved his family and his country.

He is survived by his wife Sue and their daughters Tracey Williams and Kristie Lynch. He is also survived by his sons-in-law, Brooke Williams and Ken Lynch, and grandchildren Emma, Winter Daisy, Louis and Eden. He is also survived by his sister Jeannette Hanover, brother Stephen Hanover and his wife Lisa, brother-in-law Peter Wittman and his wife Suzy, and their extensive families.
