Stephen M. Hrin Jr., a 20-year resident of Doylestown, formerly of Royersford, Pa., died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 72.

Stephen was the husband of Rita L. Hrin.

Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Suzanne and Stephen Hrin Sr.

Stephen was an insurance agent with Nationwide Mutual Insurance Agency, working out of his office in Furlong.

He was proud to have served with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Stephen enjoyed golfing and fishing. He was also a member of Doylestown Maennerchor.

In addition to his wife, Stephen is survived by six daughters, Susan Loder and her husband, George, of Point Pleasant, N.J., Diana Hill and her husband, Timothy, of Newark, Del., Rene Boomhower of Royersford, Rebecca Readler and her husband, Jacob, of Nescopeck, Pa., Andrea Hrin of Doylestown, and Stephanie Larocca and her husband, Nicholas, of Richboro; six grandchildren, Madison, Bridget, Shannon, Adam, Alex and Lizzy; one brother, George Hrin; and one sister, MaryAnne Duffy and her husband, Rich.

Stephen's funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, at Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington, where family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until time of service.
