Obituary for Samuel W. Cramer Sr.

Samuel W.  Cramer Sr.
Samuel W. Cramer, Sr. of Doylestown passed away peacefully at the age of 81 in his home on Friday June 16, 2017 surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Betty) Cramer for 58 years. A love like theirs lasts longer then a lifetime.
Born in Philadelphia Samuel was the son of the late Samuel J. and Lillian Cramer.
Sam had attended Central Bucks High School. He was employed for 45 years with Acme Markets as a Night Supervisor and later worked for the Thompson Organization. Sam was a Life member, past Chief of the Doylestown Fire Co, and past President of the Bucks County Firefighters Association. He was a member of the Doylestown Fire Police, Chalfont Fire Company, Bucks County Fire Chiefs, Keystone Fire Chiefs and Local 1776.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Samuel Cramer Jr. (Michele), Thomas Cramer, SaraJane Hamilton (late Mark), Heidi Lawrence (Robert), and Amy Harris Nordo (Raymond). He is the Pop Pop of Kaitlyn Gilbert (Robert Jr), Matthew Hamilton, Samuel (Jake) Cramer (Jess), Emily Lawrence, Meghan Lawrence, Marissa Cramer, Avery Harris, Kelly Cramer, Noah Harris, Julianne Lawrence, Sarena Harris, and G-Pop of Nicholas Blank and Bryson Samuel Cramer. He is survived by his brother George Cramer (Carol) and preceded in death by his sisters Thelma Jane and Carylon Cramer.
Samuel's funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the Shelly Funeral Home at Easton and Keller’s Church Rd., Plumsteadville PA. Interment will follow in Doylestown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM and on Thursday morning from 10 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions in Sam’s name may be sent to the Doylestown Fire Co. # 1 PO Box 208, Doylestown PA 18901
