I met Mary through Bucks-Mont Decorative Painters and continued to paint with her with KSDP. Mary was very intelligent, articulate and kind to all. We enjoyed her contributions to our groups and will surely miss her. Rest in peace, Mary.

Mary I think of you often and alway remember the kindness and compassion you showed me during some of my darkness days. You always had a smile on your face and a kind word for everyone. Mary Elizabeth DeChristopher was loved art. She painted on just about every surface at one time or another. From canvas and paper to Christmas ornaments and wooden objects. She was someone who always appreciated the beauty in the simplest things. Flowers, wildlife and small objects. She was a kind, caring and loving Grandmother to all four of her Grandchildren who enjoyed growing up spending weekends and summer days around their pool, learning how to paint, sew or collect things in nature walking around the woods. She loved hummingbirds. If it had a hummingbird or Santa Claus on it, it was the perfect gift. She was happiest when she was around the children in her family. In the end the mere sight or sound of her Great Grandchildren was a sure way to get her to light up with joy. It brought a smile to my face to watch her interact with my children, taking time to carefully teach them how to paint or just make brownies. She had a tendency to complicate things but herself was a very uncomplicated person. No matter what the circumstances were, in the end, she confessed she loved her Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, even if they hadn't expressed it to her in some time. I will miss my Grandmother and will never forget how much love I felt growing up just from a simple touch of her hand or kiss on the forehead.
